Cloud Acropolis has upgraded its DR stie to a Rating 2 Standard. Our site is location in Nizwa, at more than 150 km from our main site. It has capacity of 4 racks, equivalent of 52 serves, 4100 CPU cores, 78 TB of RAM, 780 TB of pure Enterprise NVMe SSD storage..

Cloud Acropolis Disaster Recovery or High Availability site is managed by the same talented and experienced team. Customers and enterprises can now benefit our DR and HA service using the most trusted and knowledgeable cloud provider company in the market. This site is following the exact same design and operational standards as our main site. It is in process to be added to our PCI DSS and ISO27001 scope.
From the physical point of view, the site has a single power from a local provider (Mazoon Electricity Company) with a ring connection, and already proven reliability for the past 2 years.
This power is backed up by a Generator and a diesel tank of 500 litters which can provide enough power for more than 5 days at full load. As per our actual tests, within the actual load we have a capacity of over 3 weeks now.
The main city power and Generator are managed by a ATS (Automatic Transfer switch). As per the setup from the time the main is cut till the load is put on running generator, we only need 10 seconds
From the main distribution panel, we segregate all three power phases:
There are 2 double conversion UPS system feeding each power line in each rack. All IT equipment are feed via the batteries only in a total segregated clean way at 230V 50 Hz. The batteries are charged from the power coming from the ATS/Main panel.
Each UPS is connected to 20 batteries, and has a power capacity of 3 hours at 80% load. So basically our DR site has a capability of 6 hours of clean UPS power.
The power has been designed in a full modular, redundant and segregated manner. It has its own dedicated room with dual AC and fire suppression.
When it comes to the data center itself we have full redundancy at all level. Each rack is fed by 2 independent and clean power supply (UPS). There are 2N cooling system. To align with Green implementation, we have setup cold Isle containment. The network is set in a separated rack to ensure the access to the equipment is done by the right expertise.
The structured cabling follows TIA 942 Rating 4. We have full redundancy and control over each and every equipment. Network, Storage (SAN and Ceph) Chorosynch, Power, … are all connected and fully redundant.
Leak detection, temperature and humidity are all monitored and measured.
The site is fully monitored by CCTV both inside and outside the building. The access is regulated and logged.
Our datacenter is a Rating 4 facility based on TIA 942, that means all the components are fully redundant and fault tolerant.
The data center is under heavy 24/7 surveillance with closed circuit CCTV, Round the clock guarded security staff.
We are a ISO27001 certified facility, hence we closely audit the access logs to make sure only the authorized staff have access to the facility.
